Its because we share the same room and have a bunk bed the laptop is my oldest brothers so we have to share this p.c.

That solves the talking. The I.P. however, is the result of you two using the same network. Like, usually I use my laptop, but because the router broke down I have to use the computer. If you could check- It would have the same I.P. as my laptop- If they are different though, it's because I move from my dad's to my mom's house.
But the point is- If you live together no matter how many different computers you have connected to the network- it's the same I.P.
People often don't understand this.

Must admit, I'm not to clear on it myself, I know that the same IP can be a whole area, if lots of computers that are in the same place, but thats kind of what you just said - Thanks!
